300BAUD (b. 1976 New York, NY) is represented by D'agastino & Fiore.

Analog modems once connected disparate electronic bulletin boards over telephone lines.  The speed of data transmission was measured in symbols or pulses per second; 300 bits per second was the slowest.

As a child, the artist experimented with a 300 baud modem before returning it, using the money instead for a shiny, red 10-speed bicycle.

300BAUD's work explores our binary, discontinuous, digital world through images designed on a mobile device.
